The story in gta online can barely be called a story. You see it as a online game with extra dlc story mode. The fact that you dont understand what I'm saying and keep on pushing for online says a lot about how you view gta. We want a whole new single player mode with a world and story to explore alone and at our own pace. But im saying that we don't want JUST that. Yes they are going to MT the shit out of the new Online mode no doubt. I didn’t take into account delays and whatnot bcs who has the time for that? We saw a delay with GTAV and RDR2 so I’m not ruling out a delay here either, but I’m not writing a scenario where a delay exists. However, if the release date is in 2024, an announcement/teaser can be expected in 2023 and a 2024 announcement if the game is slated for a 2025 release. If GTA5 E&E was not made and everything was originally on track, we would hear a teaser/announcement next year.
Or maybe Covid-19 didn’t affect anything and that would still place the release date in 2024 after a year for GTA5 E&E. But with Covid-19 and everything, I can see the release being pushed back a year or two as most of Rockstar employees were and still are working from home.Īnd obviously GTA5 E&E needs time to live so give about a year for that, so adding two years to 2023 that gives you 2025. So if we are to believe GTA6 development started after the release of RDR2 in 2018, the game would be releasing around 2023. So, here we’ll assume that GTA6 will release after a year of announcement. I would like to note that the game was announced in 2016 and release was slated for 2017, but was pushed back to 2018. RDR2 development started after the release of GTA5 in 2013. Hell, they could even be nearly done and simply waiting until more people have PS5's & XS x/s's (probably not, but they could be farther along than what we're lead to believe!) This 2025 date just sounds like bs to me, no one outside of Rockstar knows what's going on so it's purely speculation at this point. Doesn't sound like early development to me, sounds like they should be around 40-50% So if they started in late 2018, that would mean they've been working on it for over 2 1/2 years. If I had to guess, they started work before RDR2's release (Aug/Sep 2018) or sometime after RDR2 released (Nov/Dec of 2018 or Jan of 2019) Rockstar for the most part usually starts working on something soon, basically right after the previous project has been wrapped up (or sometimes even before it's done) Totally agree, I find it hard to believe that they would start as late as 2020. That would mean rockstar just started working on the game last year maybe. I really don’t believe that this game is still in early development there’s just no way. What do you guys think ? In-short 2025 looks like alot of time to wait for the next GTA but it really isn't because I am confident that GTA Online will play a huge role in advertising GTA 6 and it will be a exciting time in GTA Online. They can test these live events in GTA Online. As Tom Henderson said that the world in GTA 6 would be constantly evolving over time which gives them the oppurtunity to do live events like Fortnite does. Maybe a main character from GTA 6 will make an appearance in new heist or a big update. I don't see any reason why they won't use GTA Online to market and hype us for GTA 6. We also know how much they love GTA Online. We all know how good they are at marketing the game and that will be an interesting time period. They have less than 2 years to release the game. If GTA 6 is really coming out in 2025 then we should expect an announcement in late 2023. Here is why I think 2025 isn't that long to wait for GTA 6. If say, we are getting GTA 6 in 2023 then we should be getting an announcement this year. As we all know how Rockstar loves to announce their games. If we really don't get the next GTA game before 2025 then Rockstar will be 7 years without a big game. Many people are kind of disappointed we have to wait till 2025 to get our hands on GTA 6. He says GTA 6 won't be coming out before 2025. So, according to Tom Henderson, who is a reputable leaker who has previously leaked stuff about other games including the upcoming Battlefield 2042, and he was pretty much spot on with that. The most interesting thing about that was the release date. As we all know Tom Henderson leaked some stuff related to the next GTA game.
